Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert OPENS UP about playing through injuries ahead of crucial game against the Ravens
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins have a crucial game this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. They could clinch the AFC East division title for the first time in nearly 15 years with a victory in their week 17 game. Amidst this situation, their star running back Raheem Mostert has opened up playing through injuries during the crucial time of the season.

During a recent episode of his podcast Relentlessly Motivated with Raheem Mostert, the Dolphins running back talked about his mindset of pushing through injuries.

I can go in a game and complain about an injury or about how my joints don't feel the best... I just look at it like I got an opportunity to have a gold jacket. That's my goal. I just get more joy going out there each and every day and put on that resume. Mostert said

After spending more than 8 years in the NFL, Mostert is finally having a breakout season in Miami despite some injury issues. In 2022, he had the best campaign of his career with the Dolphins and in 2023, he took it one step ahead.

Mostert has established himself as a true No.1 running back in the league by registering 1187 scrimmage yards and 21 scrimmage touchdowns in the ongoing season. It should be noted that Mostert had a total of 19 scrimmage TDs in the previous 8 years combined.

However, Mostert is currently suffering from an ankle injury ahead of the Dolphins’ crucial game against the Ravens, but he is looking to play through the injury.

Raheem Mostert did not practice on Thursday

On Sunday, the Dolphins are looking to win the AFC East for the first time since 2008. However, they are pretty banged up on the injury as many of their star players including leading rusher Raheem Mostert are questionable for the game with injuries.

Mostert did not practice on Thursday with an ankle injury. Apart from Mostert, many other stars including Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek Hill, and running back De’Von Achane also dealing with injuries. Waddle did not practice on Thursday while others had limited practice sessions.

Even if the Dolphins lose on Sunday, they can still clinch the division if the Buffalo Bills suffer a loss against the New England Patriots in their week 17 game.

But, if the Dolphins lose and the Bills win this weekend, then the week 18 game between those two teams would play a great role in determining the division winner. But for now, they will be focused on defeating the Ravens this Sunday.
