The recurring incidents of school shootings in the USA are proving to be a constant fear in the minds of every parent out there. Numerous athletes generally express solidarity and their condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones in such disasters. Except when NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers happens to have a conspiracy theory surrounding the Sandy Hook School shooting. The theory happens to be so distasteful that Hall of Famer Charles Barkley had to slam the quarterback.

Charles Barkley was discussing politics with co-host Gayle King on their show King Charles on CNN. King asked Barkley about what he thought about Aaron Rodgers‘ conspiracy theory.

You hope nobody ever thinks that. It's just painful for the parents. But anybody who'd think that, I would think they'll be insane. You have to be insane to think that. The former NBA MVP Charles Barkley

Barkley mentioned that he was aghast when he heard about Rodgers’ theory surrounding the Sandy Hook School Shooting of 2012. He alluded that someone must be so out of their mind to think along the lines of a conspiracy. Barkley thinks this theory is disrespectful towards the pain the parents have dealt with.

Aaron Rodgers apparently suggested that the victims of the Sandy Hook School Shooting never existed. He held the belief that the entire massacre was staged by the Government to get sympathy votes. The New York Jets QB even thought that the parents who cried in front of the TV were paid actors.

This conspiracy theory has been met with a lot of backlash from all corners of the country. The New York Jets quarterback has since come out and clarified his stance, by claiming that he never thought that the entire event did not take place.

Charles Barkley thinks the Boston Celtics have to win the NBA title

While Barkley doesn’t shy away from bashing any political opinion he disagrees with, how can he be quite when it’s about sport, which is his daily bread and better? With the NBA season heading into its final series of matches, the Boston Celtics have already clinched a playoff spot. Barkley has held the opinion since the start of the season, that the Celtics have to win the NBA title this year. They have no excuse after adding Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to an already potent lineup that lost in the Eastern Conference Finals last year.

If they [the Celtics] don’t win a championship this year, it would be a total gag job. They’ve got everything. You’ve got [Jaylen] Brown and [Jayson] Tatum, you’ve got two of the 10 best players in the league, probably. ... I will be shocked if the Celtics don’t win. Barkley in last week’s episode of ‘NBA on TNT’

However, two concerning losses in a row have raised eyebrows. The loss to the shorthanded Cleveland Cavaliers was an eye-opener. The defending champion Denver Nuggets outclassed them in their very next game. Barkley believes the Celtics have to figure out a way to win the battle in the paint, and not focus only on three-point shooting.

It will be interesting to see how the Boston Celtics bring those subtle changes around their game come playoff time. As it is clear that the highly opinionated Charles Barkley will not stop from ranting about them if they fail to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
