New quarterback Matt McGloin is ready for offseason training activities: 'I'll control what I can control'
Newly acquired quarterback Matt McGloin signed a three year deal with the Oakland Raiders and they must see something in the young QB to lock him up for three years.
McGloin worked with former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien in his last year, and while many thought Penn State football would be a mess, McGloin was one of the reasons why they surprised...
Who Is The Unknown Raider?
The development of Raider wide receiver Rod Streater (6’3” 200) was a pleasant surprise in an otherwise dismal Raider season in 2012. Streater went undrafted out of Temple (who plays in a primarily run based offense) and with limited touches in college allowed his talent to slip by many NFL teams in the 2012 draft. During the 2012 season Streater broke into the Monday Night Football...
Chris Kluwe focused on punting job in Oakland
The Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie announced the team had officially signed former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe to deal. Details of the contract were not disclosed by the team.
A vocal marriage equality activist, there might be a lot outside interests such as the ongoing Supreme court battle over Proposition 8 that could occupy Kluwe’s time in Oakland...
The last of the Al Davis old guard is gone. Where do they go from here:
The last of Al Davis old guard is now gone. Amy Trask resigned last week as CEO of the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are officially on a new course.
While attending Cal Berkeley, Amy Trask became a huge Raiders fan. Growing up in Brentwood in Los Angeles, she followed the Raiders trek going to law school at USC. In 1983 Trask became in intern for the Raiders and in...
Replacing Lechler in Oakland
The Oakland Raiders are rebuilding, and recently (due cap reasons) had to let the greatest punter the game has ever seen go. They have made recent strides to doing this with some outstanding acquisitions to the special team’s core. The biggest may be signing outstanding special teams kick returner and wide receiver veteran Josh Cribs .Josh averaged and excellent 27.4 yards on...

Raiders invite safety Charles Woodson back for another visit
Oakland Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie is on the move and veteran safety Charles Woodson is his target.
After Woodson had visited with the team and left Oakland with a standing offer, that we would assume is still on the table, the team wants Woodson to come back for another sit down on Tuesday.
The market is starting to heat up for Woodson’s services after he took trips to the...
Matt McGloin And Chris Kluwe Add Numbers To The Raiders Roster
As of this moment, the Oakland Raiders have five quarterbacks on their roster. Whether this will be the case come September 8th, when they take on the Indianapolis Colts for the season opener, remains to be seen. It's no surprise that the Raiders are doing all they can to improve from what can only be described as a lackluster last few seasons. With a more than successful 2013...
Tyler Wilson seems destined to become the Oakland Raiders starter over Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor
With competition underway to become Oakland’s starting quarterback this autumn, rookie Tyler Wilson has made a “very big impression” on the Raiders during the first week of offseason practices. Taken out of Arkansas with the 112th pick in last month’s draft, the 23-year-old Wilson “looks a little better than (the Raiders)” expected. The Silver and Black acquired signal...

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen via Rotoworld.com, rookie quarterback Tyler Wilson has made a ”very big impression” on the Oakland Raiders front office so far. He also reported that the Raiders believe he ”looks a little better than (they) thought” he would when they drafted him.
Wilson still has a lot to prove. It will be interesting to see how he looks once...
We can officially say former Browns player Josh Cribbs now. He signed with the Oakland Raiders.
It took a while, but former Cleveland Browns return-man receiver Josh Cribbs signed a deal with the Oakland Raiders today. Cribbs, who missed out on an opportunity with the Arizona Cardinals due to knee problems, was a man without a team up until about an hour ago. He signed his deal and now will be with the Raiders for at least the 2013 season. Cribbs only inked a one year deal...

Raiders threw away $60 million in three years
Now that former Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain has retired we can look back and look at two big mistakes that Oakland made.
According to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times, the Raiders wasted $60 million in three years between McClain and JaMarcus Russell.
Difficult to comprehend, but the #Raiders paid MLB Rolando McClain and QB JaMarcus Russell almost $60 million. Both...
Raiders made an offer to Charles Woodson
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Oakland Raiders have made an offer to free agent Charles Woodson. Charles Woodson’s agent Carl Poston also told me the #Raiders just sent him an initial offer for Woodson as well. — Josina Anderson (@JosinaAnderson) May 14, 2013 Woodson started out his career with the Raiders. He played in Oakland from 1998-2005. The Raiders could...
Tyler Wilson could become the starter in Oakland
The Oakland Raiders are the latest team to bring in Matt Flynn to compete for their starting quarterback competition, but once again, a rookie with the last name of Wilson may beat him out of it, if we believe the early returns from the Contra Costa Times. Tyler Wilson, a fourth-round draft pick out of Arkansas, was once seen a potential first-rounder. He had an outstanding junior...
